BACKGROUND

Dewa was born as an only child from Lukman and Nirmala Maksudi, they would have liked a bigger family but the complication of his birth made Nirmala unable to bear any more children. As the sole son, he got all the love from his mother and (unfortunately) bore all the expectations of his father, nevertheless, he adored his family.Dewa always aspired to be Lukman. He idolized his father, constantly craving for his approval. While he was not a cruel father, Lukman was still far from ideal parents. He used to pass his belief to Dewa: power is everything and in order to be on top, do not hesitate to use other people as a step upwards. He referred to the working class as plebeians.As a child, Dewa was a highly unlikeable boy. His family background made him believe he was better than his peers. He was good-looking, rich, and clever, being the second in almost all of his classes if not the first one. While his life is easy, he enjoyed making it though for his classmates.But, caught in the wrong side of a failed coup d'état attempt, sacked his family name to the bottom. Although they changed sides at the last moment, the entire family is still getting punished for their allegiance. Lukman was exiled from the country for a decade while Nirmala was on house arrest for two years. Dewa, being just a boy, got leniency to continue his studies. Although they were unable to regain their social status, their wealth kept them living comfortably.

PERSONALITY

Dewa is seemingly aloof but a very protective individual. Used to not care about the world, as long as people he deemed worthy were protected, but grew more altruistic after his family's downfall and wanted to contribute to society. But, old habits die hard, he is still detached except to people he really trusts. Although there is no ill intention of his snarkiness, he is still considered sharp-tongued.Relationship language: dry humor and sarcasm. If he is being snarky with you, he considers you at least his friend, but if he is very polite, you’re just someone he knows.Once he cares about someone, he could come off as possessive, marking things as his, perhaps because he was raised as an only child, he never learned how to share.

Bored eyes. His entire being is like something someone put up together to make sure each other fits. His movement is graceful like he doesn’t care about how the world is rotating. He acts like he defies time. He moves on his own timeline. Everything about him seems to be in slow motion. No one could expect him to go on other people’s comfort. Tall, board shoulder with slim waist. A mercury: scorching on one side, cold on the other.He prefers dark-themed outfits, but also sometimes wears muted colors and dark green. On his right ring finger, he wears an heirloom ring in the shape of a serpent.
